Migration est née d’une réflexion sur les difficultés rencontrées par les candidats à l’immigration. Ce problème de société est traité à travers la métaphore d’oiseaux migrateurs, des oies. Ces oiseaux sont synonyme de persévérance, de fidélité et d’entraide, toutes qualités nécessaires aux candidats à l’immigration. Quatre de ces oies sont « clouées » au sol malgré leurs ailes ouvertes et le corps tendu dans l’effort de l’envol. La figure humaine à la fois massive et douce apporte une note d’optimisme à la scène, sa verticalité va peut-être offrir aux oies l’élan nécessaire à leur envol. Ainsi, elle brandit à bout de bras une oie qui semble prête à s’envoler. La disproportion des oies par rapport au personnage qui les accompagne souligne la complexité du phénomène de l’immigration et notre incapacité à le résoudre.
Cet ensemble fait suite à la série des Passeurs élaborées à partir de 2009, dans laquelle des personnages transportent des corps d’animaux sans vie vers leur dernière demeure, assurant ainsi le passage du monde des vivants à celui des morts. Incontournable et ultime migration.

Migration was born out of a reflection on the difficulties encountered by those considering immigration. This societal problem is treated through the metaphor of migratory birds, geese. These birds are synonymous with perseverance, faithfulness and mutual assistance, all of them qualities necessary for immigration candidates Four of these birds are “nailed” to the ground despite their open wings and their bodies tensed in an effort to fly. The human figure, both massive and sweet, contributes a note of optimism to the scene, its verticality perhaps offers the birds the encouragement they need for their flight. It also brandishes at arm’s length a bird that appears ready to take flight. The disproportion of the birds compared to the individual accompanying them emphasizes the complexity of the phenomenon of immigration and our inability to resolve it.
This set follows upon the “Passeurs” series developed starting in 2009, in which individuals transport the bodies of dead animals toward their final resting place, thus assuring the passage from the world of the living to that of the dead. It is the inevitable and final migration.
